Cloudflare introduces EmDash, a serverless CMS spiritual successor to WordPress, built with TypeScript and Astro web framework. EmDash tackles the security issues in WordPress plugins by sandboxing each plugin in its own isolated environment, allowing only declared capabilities, and eliminating the need for a centralized marketplace review. This design allows for full plugin freedom, including licensing choices and secure code isolation, breaking the traditional lock-in model of WordPress plugin ecosystems.

Cloudflare introduces Programmable Flow Protection, a custom DDoS mitigation logic for Magic Transit customers that allows them to define and deploy their own protocol-specific rules. This system enables precise, stateful mitigation for custom and proprietary UDP protocols by leveraging eBPF programs that can analyze and validate packet contents. Customers can write their own eBPF program to dictate what "good" and "bad" traffic looks like, and Cloudflare will execute it across its global network.
